There is no need to worry about this! The purpose of this task is for me to get a sense of how you write, to help me learn how you can improve.
Your task is to construct a story which you believe is engaging and imaginative. There is no right or wrong and you can write about anything. Nevertheless, if you are stuck these prompts might help you with some inspiration.
· Write something inspired by a recent dream you had.
· Create short story or journal entry about a conversation you’ve overheard.
· What scares you a little? What do you feel when scared? How do you react?
· What’s behind the door? Why is it closed?
· What if you mirror started talking to you? What might the mirror say?
· What does Memory Lane look like? How do you get there?
· Go to Wikipedia and click on Random Article. Write about whatever the page you get.
· Rewrite a fairy tale. Give it a new ending or make it modern
· Turn on the radio, use the shuffle feature on your music collection or your favourite streaming music service. Write something inspired by the first song you hear.
· Imagine you have a touch of magic and can make impossible things happen. What would you do?
